There's a terrific website selling vintage clothing, and I picked out my favorite pieces.
To start with the cream of the crop, here is an extroardinary, perfect linen swing dress from the fifties, when women's clothing had shape.
Actors often say that their costumes help them more than one would expect when they are getting into character. This dress couldn't help but make me feel delicate, beautiful, and womanly. I think that modern clothes are too often made without any thought given to how wearing them makes a person feel.
Even the ugly print isn't enough to sour me on this dress because of its terrific shape.
And this jacket is truly badass while being totaly librarianable.
Going to bed in the 20s? What you'd think.
